Photo Packages
Our photography package proved to be super popular in 2008 & 2009 and has been adjusted to be even better for 2010/11.
Shane Peel will be our resident photographer for 2011 and in addition you can also request the services of Andrew Shield and Stuart Gibson. All our photographers are award-winning leaders in the field of surfing photography in Australia and all come with many, many years experience and state of the art equipment and water housings. The photographers treat the photo pack just the same as any magazine assignment so your images are nothing short of world class.
Return guests are able take the package at a discounted price and any guest taking the package who books prior to departure also attracts a discount. In addition any guest taking the photo package will have daily shots available to email home to friends as an electronic postcard.
2011 Photopack Inclusions:
- The 8 best sessions will be shot for their duration. An average guest would accumulate around 400-700 images
- The best 20 shots of each guest will be fully processed and color corrected.
- All images will be burned onto DVD and stored in separate folders with the session number. The best twenty will be stored in a “best of folder”.
- The 2011 photo pack also includes a portrait shoot for each guest and copies of epic waves and line-ups from the last 3 seasons.
- Three separate highlight slideshows on the plasma screen in the Main house.
- Water and land photography.
- Images from the photo pack are also used in the various surf reports and other media generated by the lodge.
Charges.
For return guests and guests who pre-book the photo pack is $500.00 PP inc GST for guests buying the photo pack on island it’s $645.00 PP inc GST. There is a minimum of 5 guests booking the package for the service to be available.

Q. Once I am home how do I get prints of my images?
A. This is a simple procedure we will pass you details of our preferred Labs while you are at the lodge and then it is as simple as giving the lab the number of the image and the DVD.
Q. What if I don’t surf like a pro can I still get good images?
A. That fact that you are not a pro makes the chances of getting a truly iconic image very likely. Surfers who are having fun in a pristine tropical wave garden tend to have lots of smiles and the sheer perfection of the waves deliver stunning images of everyone from first surf beginners to highly skilled veterans.
Q. Who own the copyright to the images?
A. The copyright of the images stays with the photographer. This means you are free to use the images for any purpose other than a commercial one.
Q. What if I am not happy with the images?
A. Simply let us know at the first slide show and your money will be refunded 100%.
